Pros

Good Technology

Interesting work

Cons

Cisco management is now treating its employees like commodities.

Opportunities for growth are very limited at Cisco.

Cisco's mantra for the last 5 years has been to move everything to India, which failed since most projects sent there came back.

Corruption in management is a concern. I have heard of managers who bring in contractors through their own companies so that they can get a piece of the action.

Senior management is rumored to only open doors to vendors in whom they are allowed to hold stakes.

Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect and challenge them.

Get rid of the corruption inside Cisco. It's hurting the company and its stockholders.
