Pros

Ample training opportunities. Access to a lot of resources, both hardware and software. Access to some very smart people. Good treatment of minorities.

Cons

Went from having a bad rating system to having no rating system at all. Performance makes no difference; compensation growth is well below inflation.

Advice to Management

A technology company cannot have a middle management layer that is completely ignorant of technology.

The first step to enabling innovation is to get rid of people who feel threatened by it.

No, a survey that asks "do you see innovation as a threat" is not the right way to identify those dragging the company down, either.
