You can balance personal life very well with your job. Again, it depends on the group you are working with. You can just plan to work for eight hours a day; the rest is yours. Benefits are good compared to other organizations at the same level.
Management is old-school. It is hard to convince management sometimes, as they cannot see the value in innovations. For the same reason, management fails to assess/promote good resources.
