Clay is truly a rocketship. The company is at the forefront of building a categorically different product, and being part of that innovation is both exciting and fulfilling. Every day feels like a learning opportunity—I genuinely feel like I grow so much from one day to the next.
The work environment is one of the most supportive I’ve ever experienced. It feels completely safe to not have all the answers, and the team is always kind, collaborative, and eager to help you succeed. The GTM team, in particular, is filled with non-salesy, highly effective individuals, making it a refreshing and impactful group to work with.
The culture is unique in the best way possible—extremely nerdy, curious, and kind. The chill vibe is spot-on; it’s easy to show up as your authentic self here. If you’re looking for a place where you can feel challenged, supported, and genuinely excited about the work you’re doing, Clay is it.
Also, the perks here are top-notch. Just a few off the top of my head include free massages, lunch from amazing NYC restaurants everyday, yoga, DJ Fridays (yes there is a DJ booth in the office), and career coaching.
Honestly, it’s hard to come up with cons for Clay. The only potential downside is that it’s extremely fast-paced, and you can’t be passive in your role. It forces you to stay engaged and take initiative, which I personally see as a positive, but I’ve noticed that the pace can lead to burnout for some people...mainly because they actually are so curious and excited about what they do they can lose sight of how much they work (a rare problem in today's workplace!).
Working at Clay is definitely challenging—but in the best way. It’s not the right fit if you’re not ready to put in the effort and contribute to building a unicorn. The high expectations are balanced by an incredibly supportive team, but this environment requires a proactive mindset and a willingness to grow every day. I do think it will be one of the best organizations I'll work at in my career.
Keep doing what you’re doing! You listen exceptionally well, execute flawlessly, and maintain an impressive focus and vision that keeps the company on track. You’ve created a culture that people are genuinely excited to be part of—something truly rare and special.
Initial vibe check interview with recruiter: easy, fun, fast - went 30 minutes over. Second interview with hiring manager: they were 10 minutes late to a 30-minute call, had not reviewed my technical take-home, provided zero feedback on it, and aske
Honestly, one of the most refreshing interview processes I’ve gone through. After the initial intro call, they send you a take-home project – but it’s not your typical boring task. They encourage creativity, weirdness, and humor. You’re supposed to
Echoing what others have said here. First of all, I have nothing but great things to say about the Clay team. On an individual level, everyone was smart, respectful, and kind. However, the take-home assignment is a doozy. If you don't already use t
