I applied online. The process took 2 months.
Took them two months to respond to my initial job application. The interview consists of two stages:
The technical interview was comically bad - opening up their GitHub repo pointing to 40-50 automated testing suites and asking for comments. Instead of actually doing their job as an interviewer and selecting specific test cases with actual information to discuss, they expect interviewees to come up with all the interview discussion points.
Then after spending 30-40 minutes aimlessly discussing their testing suites, they transition to the usual CS trivia questions and whiteboarding questions. It's been over a month - I haven't received any kind of follow-up or rejection, automated or otherwise.
Overall, I would recommend avoiding this company - way too slow in responding to initial applications, and disorganized and vague technical interviews.
Questions about their automated test suites on their public GitHub repository here: https://github.com/ClickHouse/ClickHouse
Questions about different ARM architectures, RISCV.
Questions about hypothetically how to manage a large dataset over multiple cores / load-balancing questions.
