Process

There are no gotcha questions or know-it-all, smug-faced interviewers, from my experience.

I had a great, collaborative conversation with every single person I met throughout my interview process.

Personal Advice: Skip LeetCode. You don't need it; they just test for real software development foundation skills and experience.

It was a typical three-step process:

  1. Phone interview with a recruiter
  2. Hiring Manager interviews
  3. (If successful at step 2) Virtual onsite - 4 stages

I was comfortable throughout the interviewing process. The interviewers were prepared, had read my resume, and were just as interested in learning about me and answering my questions about Clio as they were in asking questions.

Questions

Questions that threw me for a loop:

  • Tell me about negative or non-positive feedback you received and how you responded to it.
  • Tell me about a time when you had to give not-so-great feedback to a colleague.
