This was immensely frustrating and, to be honest, quite rude. In a world where most company functions, in IT and beyond, can be automated, there is no excuse for not sending a cursory email notifying someone whether they are still in the running for a position or not. It's something that, for some reason, is accepted as part of getting a job but actually needs to be called out more. Much, much more.
