The entire process was extremely quick and very refreshing compared to so many other processes that drag on for weeks. I applied for the position and was contacted within a few hours to schedule my availability for a phone screen. Upon submitting my availability, I received an interview time almost immediately and also got a quick, detailed answer from the correct person regarding the interview format.

The phone interviewer was easy to talk to and did a good job following along, even though some of my responses were disjointed and scattered at times. We discussed an older project of mine, and I should have probably picked a more recent project that I could talk about with more detail. The interviewer still took it in stride and asked more process and personal preference questions.

At the end, I received very genuine and helpful answers to questions I had about the company's tech choices and learning opportunities.

While slightly disappointing (although not surprising), I received a decision that they would not move forward literally minutes after getting off the phone.

Although I did not do well in this interview, it was straightforward, and I am very impressed with how quick and helpful the entire process was. I would greatly look forward to another opportunity to interview with Cloudflare, especially for a position I am more prepared for.

We discussed a large project and the architecture that I chose to use. I also shared how I would approach it differently if I were to build the project again.
