The first stage was with a tech lead. She was very nice, and I could tell she was competent and professional. I was successful at this stage and received an email with instructions for a coding challenge.

I submitted the coding challenge the next day but only heard back from the tech lead three weeks later, asking if I was going to submit my answer. I am old enough to assume that when companies or recruiters don't contact you, it's because you haven't been successful. So, that's what I had thought.

By the time I was contacted again, I had already accepted another offer. It seems their hiring process needs some reworking, as things can get lost and misunderstood. For a company this size, you would expect better.

I also took this as a sign that they need to put their house in order first.
