A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn and set up a 60-minute tech screen.
The tech screen went really well. That's what the interviewer told me at the end of the interview.
In fact, the interviewer said, "I have asked this question to at least 100 people, and you are one of the few who got the solution working during the first run. Okay, 1.1 runs."
That sounded very positive.
I sent a thank-you email to the recruiter, saying how the interview went. In less than an hour, I received an automated email stating, "We have aligned with more suitable candidates, but keep an eye out for other positions at our company."
I reached out to the recruiter to ask if there was any feedback from the interview that would help me improve for future interviews (because the interviewer sounded nothing but happy about my solution).
No response.
Coinbase Recruiters: If a candidate has spent time and energy going through your process, the least you could do is personally follow up in case of rejection.
Candidates seem to be used and thrown away, no matter their performance. I would not recommend.
