I interviewed on an anonymous coding interview platform where I did well in the coding round.
The coding round consisted of:
I was introduced to the recruiters at Coinbase to bring me onsite. Before this, I was scheduled for a round with a hiring manager, with the aim to give an idea about the teams and which positions I could interview onsite for.
I had a phone conversation with the hiring manager, which went pretty well in my opinion. We ran short of time, and he told me he would set up another call as he was being ushered out of the room. This round was a chat about my background; I don't think we discussed anything in detail due to the lack of time.
To my surprise, I received a standard reject email a few days later. This has been the most unusual experience, as I was waiting for the recruiters to set up a follow-up call with the hiring manager.
This looked like an error to me, but I read similar reviews here and realized it might not be an error. I hope this is not a pattern.
I am not too disappointed, as I landed multiple offers, including FAANG, but I hope someone looks into this aspect for candidate experience improvement.
Usual coding questions.
