Comp is good. Nice to work in a cutting-edge sector. Lots of growth. Nice benefits!
What you get in the interview and what you get when you start are like two different companies.
After starting, it became clear that the message is "get stuff done, nobody cares what the challenges are." That apparently includes whether or not you got any direction or guidance, or even were told what was needed. In most meetings, people are clearly tired, frustrated, and negative.
My manager knew who I was before I joined, but after, I'm not sure they could pick me out of a lineup. I see my manager every six weeks. This is the most disengagement I've experienced, and I have to say it's really difficult. Psychologically, this is a very unhealthy environment. There's no support, a lot of politics, and HR is nowhere to be seen.
On paper, this all seemed like it was going to be an awesome experience—growth, learning. It feels like it was a mirage.
I think that you need to take a truly honest look at the state of the state.
We're not being honest with candidates. Something is off when there is so much effort to bring people in but then toss them into the wind and see where things fall.
1. Recruiter intro 2. Cultural fit assessment 3. Technical screening (behavioral) Then, four other interviews that I did not make it to, so I am unable to speak to the specifics.
2 pre-onsite rounds and 3 onsite rounds. Pre-onsite rounds: * People management * Tech process Onsite rounds: * System Design * Hiring Manager * Product The interview process will take a minimum of 3 weeks.
After the initial recruiter screening, there are two rounds of interviews: * Technical execution * People leadership focused I was not moved forward in the first technical execution. The interviewer was very inexperienced and read the questions
