Since Coinbase is a pioneer in a new industry, it is forced to tackle lots of interesting problems, both technical and non-technical. Most people are genuinely inspired by the mission of creating an open financial system, and the company has a long-term outlook. It's not a get-rich-quick Silicon Valley scheme. The people here are hard-working, humble, and trust each other to do their work well. Aside from that, they are interesting, genuine, and fun to be around.
The company feels like it's becoming more top-down as it grows. Understaffed teams are struggling to keep up with the growth.
