I received an email from a recruiter to arrange a chat to discuss my background and experience. We talked through my CV and the technologies I've worked with. Afterward, the recruiter said he thought I was suitable for the role and that he would get back to me in a few days to tell me the next steps.

After that, the recruiter ghosted me. Despite chasing it up, I never heard anything back. I understand that they decided to go with other candidates, but if you tell someone you'll get back to them and then don't, it doesn't reflect well on the company, and I wouldn't consider reapplying to Confluent.
