After recruiter calls, they gave me a take-home challenge which they claimed might take “30-45 minutes,” which is simply inaccurate. I spent a few hours on it, solving and also creating 30+ production-ready test cases.
And then we had a Zoom interview with a current Staff Software Engineer who has been working with the company for 5 years. He asked me 3 follow-up questions, and I solved them in 15-20 minutes — way before his expectations.
Eventually, I received an email saying they won’t proceed with my candidacy without any feedback, comment, or technical reasoning.
I would not invest hours for this company, which I think is not evaluating candidates objectively.
Create a frontend component with like 10 different requirements.
