Didn't value me much as an intern. Developed test cases for the majority of the internship. Had a switch in management during the internship; the team was too large and chaotic in the midst of the team splitting. Regular 1-1s were cut to 15 minutes, which felt very to the point and not enough time to build a relationship, even virtually.
Teams are large at Coursera. My new manager was fantastic in mobilizing 4 smaller pods. But in the interim month where there wasn’t a manager at all, there were no effective backup plans.
They conducted a regular phone screen where they asked about my future plans. Then, there was one technical interview via Zoom where I had to solve two coding questions in an hour. From there, they decided whether to proceed with an offer.
