Process

TL;DR: If you are Senior and employed, do not apply. (This is from another review I read before I went in for the interview.) Be careful, get everything in writing; nothing should be verbally communicated.

A friend who works there sent in my resume for the position.

It started out great. I skipped the phone screen; the manager was superb, and I would have loved to work with him. The team was great as well.

After all the interviews went great, they gave me an offer. However, it was for a Software Engineer 2 position. Considering the experience I have and my current position at a different organization, it was insulting when they called me in for a Sr. Android Engineer role and offered an SE2. I proceeded to ask them if the interview went badly (I know it didn't, as I answered everything with optimal solutions). I was told they are super excited and that apparently their leadership team doesn't hire for Sr. positions; we have to come in and "prove ourselves." Well then, you should not bait someone into an 8-hour-long interview process for a position that they think they are interviewing for, since that is the position they were called to interview for!

All of this happened after they were informed I had already rejected multiple offers from other organizations that did not give me what I wanted compensation-wise.

Fix your process and your staff before they drive you into the ground!!

I wasted 8 hours of my time and was given a sandwich for lunch. I wish I had known they would "bait and switch" on the position, since I would not even consider interviewing for a position I got out of college 6 years ago.

Be very careful when dealing with them. Get everything in writing from them in an email even before you come in. Make sure you know the position you are interviewing for and have them forward the position to you from their job listing or something so when asked, "Who told you it's a SR. position?" you can bring up the email.

This is the most ridiculous process I have ever seen. (I've done over 30 interviews over the course of my career.) This was for sure the worst thing that any organization has done to me, even before I joined!
