I had a bizarre experience with Crowdstrike, which I found rather disappointing.
I was contacted by a recruiter through LinkedIn as they believed I was a good fit for a particular role. I agreed, and they referred me to yet another recruiter.
The second recruiter was open to talking and scheduled our initial conversation a week out. When the call started, there were no introductions. It was an immediate warning about expectations for the position. After the recruiter spent several minutes reiterating warnings and expectations, I was asked about my current position. I was barely two sentences in before they cut me off and told me point-blank that they didn't think I was a good fit for this position, then ended the call.
I would have expected that the recruiters in question would have reviewed my resume and background and come to this conclusion well before this point, rather than scheduling a call unless they thought it was worth their time.
Tell me about your current position.
