Engineers are constantly interrupted by changing priorities, ad hoc requests, and a lack of planning. People are told to work on evenings and weekends all the time. There is a lot of re-structuring. Incompetent leadership does not know how to use modern tools for processes. Everything is done on spreadsheets. It feels like 2001.
Wake up. Do some self-analysis. Develop real leadership skills, learn to use tools for managing work, trust your people, and stop micromanaging.
