Senior Data Engineer Interview Experience - United States
Process
This was one of the longest sets of interviews for me. It took almost two months from my first HR screening to the final decision.
So, the interview flow was as follows:
- HR screening (30 minutes)
- Manager screening (30 minutes)
- Peer screening (30 minutes)
- Take-home test
- Three technical interviews back-to-back (each 30 minutes)
- Three leadership interviews (each 30 minutes)
- Needed three recommendations, who were interviewed for 15 minutes each to get feedback.
- Salary negotiation interview.
Questions
Brush up your Spark and computer science knowledge.
You need to have fundamental knowledge of how Apache Spark works.
Knowledge of cloud and data warehousing is a plus.
