Process

I would avoid this over-hyped company. They are just riding the momentum at the moment. They will fade out in a few years, and layoffs will start.

After passing all the stages through tech interviews, there was no feedback from them. After contacting them, they asked me to call for feedback! Wow. Basically, they don't pay well, or they have found some other friend for the job. I've never seen a situation where you pass interview stages and then receive a "no" without any formal communication from them.

I think the roles in the UK are highly pressured from a sales perspective, with a lot of politics. The pay is certainly not at US levels. Wait until the sales fall and layoffs begin.

CodeSignal coding test (can be done in SQL or any language).
1hr+ tech fire-and-forget tech questions around big data and database technologies, including SQL. They will tell you "well done" when you answer, only to reject you later!

Pros: Great software, customers love it – genuinely world-class. Pay is pretty competitive for my area. Lot of talented, like-minded people. Given the license to manage WLB but constant pressure to keep things growing requires a lot of resolve.

Cons: Classic challenges of growing the right stuff whilst trying to sustain the existing business year on year requires more from the technical field sellers. A culture of and, often having to cover for missing roles, internal/non-existing tooling compensated for with additional manual processes. Everyone is trying to scale through everyone else. Multiple mixed priorities means everything is urgent and important, resulting in constant pressure to be reactive. Doesn't look like this is going to change any time soon.

Pros: I can't think of anything good I experienced with them.

Cons: On a Director level, promises in written form put colleagues in CC. Then, nothing happens. After asking if all is good, you get no response, no answer.
