Process
The interview process is very lengthy, taking almost 2 months (8 weeks). This was for a referral.
- Recruiter Screen: 30 minutes. Pretty basic questions on your background and salary expectations.
- Hiring Manager: 30 minutes to 1 hour. Discussions around your resume.
- Technical Screen: 30-45 minutes. Technical questions cover databases, Data Lake, Spark, etc.
- Take-home Assignment: 1 week due date. Can be easy or difficult depending on programming experience (e.g., SQL).
- Leadership Interviews: 30 minutes 1:1 with Sales and SA Leadership. Mostly a fit interview.
- Panel: Standard pre-sales presentation.
They need to conduct better qualification earlier on to determine if a candidate is the correct fit for a role. The Databricks interview process is an investment from both the interviewer and interviewee.
