Process
Very lengthy process, many unnecessary rounds:
- Phone screening
- Hiring manager
- Take-home assessment
- Team 1:1
- Presentation
- Multiple sync-ups
Every round was excellent. They sent prompt feedback and congratulations. Finally, one fine morning, their position was put on hold.
In the last sync-up, the skill was no match.
Total waste of time and energy. Also, their budget is very limited; discuss salary expectations before proceeding. After 7 rounds of interviews, they said they would try to match the existing CTC.

Pros: Leadership (not just the execs, but even directors and managers) is humble even as they set an ambitious vision for the future.
Work gets busy in spurts, but overall the balance with life outside of work is ideal for me.
Really smart teammates who are all willing to help.
I'm not sure there's another company with so many resources (courses, readings, and teammates) to help with career growth.
If you want to be surrounded by the best and smartest people in data, and you want to push yourself, Databricks is a great place.
Cons: This space changes so fast it can be hard to keep up with new developments.
