All the Datadog folks I met throughout the process seemed genuinely excited about their work and were on the ball with responding to any questions with impressively complete answers.

Out of all the technical recruiters I was in touch with (5 of them, including a few from FAANG), the recruiter at Datadog, Lesley, was by far the easiest to work with.

Since company culture was an important value for me, she made sure to arrange a lunch date for me to meet the team, several video calls with Datadog engineers, and reached out to invite me to a local Python meetup hosted by Datadog. Yes, this is a glowing review.

The technical components of the interview included, in order:

• A live coding phone screen
• A take-home assignment
• An on-site interview which had one architectural interview and one more live coding exercise.
