Process

The interview process consisted of a phone screen, a take-home assignment, and a final round.

The phone screen included two fairly straightforward LeetCode Easy type questions. It felt more like a conversation than an interview, which was pleasant. The interviewer was very friendly.

The take-home assignment was manageable, more tedious than difficult.

The final round consisted of three sessions: coding, system design, and project discussion.

  • Coding: A LeetCode Medium style question with a follow-up. I had an hour to solve it, which was very helpful. I didn't feel pressured for time. The interviewer was very friendly and helpful. I asked him for a hint for the follow-up, which he gave.
  • System Design: A classic System Design type interview. Luckily, I had seen a variant of this question before. The interview went well overall, although my discussion was weak in two areas. The recruiter explained this later, and it affected my offer.
  • Project Discussion: A deep dive into a past project. Questions were design-oriented and technical.
