I had a tech phone interview with a senior engineer. The questions were two algorithm problems, and I solved them. The interviewer gave me strong positive feedback.
The unusual part was that HR then asked me to complete an online assessment (OA) with two more algorithm problems to advance to the next step. I rejected this because I felt it was ridiculous to have an additional OA round after receiving positive feedback from the phone interview.
