The recruiting process is very high-touch, so expect lots of calls and debriefs.

You will receive very detailed feedback on your performance after each round, which I found to be helpful and unlike other big tech interview processes.

The interview process includes:

• Recruiter phone screen
• Technical LeetCode screen: simple regex parser
• Code project: real-time HTTP log metrics daemon
• Technical LeetCode screen (onsite): find related tags given one or more tags occurring in a list of log strings
• Systems design (onsite): YouTube
• Hiring manager (onsite):
  • Deep dive on your company's project contributions (prepare system architecture beforehand)
  • Behavioral questions: What do you want to do at Datadog? What pros & cons would your coworkers say about you?
• Recruiter debrief & feedback
