This was my first time dealing with something like this. I did very well in all of the interviews and despite some of the signs, I thought it would be a good fit.
After that, everything went left. I reached out to an internal employee to get a sense of the culture, and from there, the internal employee went ahead and applied for the position. After that, they were just stringing me along until they could finish up the interview with the internal employee.
I had seen comments on Glassdoor about people being very backstabbing, and it is my fault for having trusted people within this process. Lesson learned, and maybe I dodged a bullet. To be clear, I don't think this is an issue of the recruiters at all.
