I applied online. The process took 2 weeks.

They have a long interview process:

• Zoom call with HR, he explained about the process
• Zoom call with Technical Lead
• Coding challenge - Time given: 1 day
• 2 hours technical round with 3 members from DeepL
• Culture fit and Team fit round
• Offer letter

I just wanted to tell the recruiters that no candidate is perfect. Give a chance to a candidate who has the right attitude to prove themselves. Skills can be taught, not the right attitude.

1. HR explained about the interview process. Why do you want to join DeepL?
2. A little tricky questions that were based on JavaScript and CSS like closures, const, opacity.
3. Coding challenge was based on JavaScript and CSS animations.
4. 1h: Explain code written in coding round. They showed a ReactJS with TypeScript code where I had to explain what it does and suggest any improvements (basically code review). 3 mins break and for next hour they asked about system design (10 mins), JavaScript and TypeScript questions and last 15 mins for questions and next process.
