I applied through university recruitment. The team member sent an email to our department, and I directly sent my resume to him.
A phone interview was scheduled for three or four days later. I had high expectations for this interview, but it turned out to be a complete waste of time. The interviewer was mostly introducing the work his team is doing and showed no interest in learning about my qualifications.
I even heard the sound of a car door opening and closing, and an engine starting. He didn't even have my resume on hand and just asked me what I did. After I explained, he continued to talk about his team.
It was very unprofessional, and I did not feel respected at all.
