No big deal with that, though; they were very receptive but knew what they wanted.

Pros: Very straightforward, you get paid based on how big your responsibility is.
* Follow all the laws.
* Make sure employees have a good work-life balance.
* Salary compatible with the current market.
Cons: It's a little bit hard to earn a promotion in your current spot. You basically have to apply to spots in other organizations inside the company, or hope you can get a promotion after you move, but that can take more than 3 years.
