The interview process is a bit flawed.
They contacted me after almost two months of the application.
The interviewer was from a DBA background, and the interview was for an application developer's/architect's role.
Most of the questions the interviewer focused on were off-topic and related to his own personal skillsets, not much related to the job description.
There are 12-15 different skillsets in the JD, but the interviewer focused only on 2-3 skillsets that were related to his own. A few other questions were from Google searches, and the interviewer had no knowledge outside what was written on the website he was looking into.
I found a huge knowledge gap between the job description and the panelist. Dell should do a better job picking its interviewers, especially for critical and highly experienced roles.
Mostly off-topic questions, distantly related to the job description.
He did not cover 80% of the job description.
