Pros
  1. Highly customer-centric, and Engineering teams are always motivated to resolve customer issues.

  2. Very good incentives for motivated individuals. Leadership takes special interest in organizing hackathons, reviewing patent applications, internal trainings, and educational reimbursements.

  3. Great people, fantastic colleagues. Technically and non-technically, a very happy place to work.

  4. Work-Life Balance: The Leadership resources projects well, hence much of the pressure for releases is mitigated.

  5. Diversity, Inclusion, and hires a lot of people from local universities.

  6. Aggressive Sales, Marketing, and Product Management teams.

  7. CEO is Michael Dell :-)

Cons
  1. Long-term vision is sometimes lost in the noise of short-term goals.
  2. Some teams have way more visibility and access compared to other teams. This leads to skewed messaging, and folks sometimes feel left out.
Advice to Management

Focus on long-term goals. Be more aggressive in integrating products across the board with F10, EMC, and VMware products. Hire strong networking architects and ASIC design researchers to design two to three years ahead. Communicate your goals more clearly to your engineers. Stay fantastic.
