Pros

Dell is absolutely a great place to learn and grow as a professional. It has really fun products to work on.

Cons

The cancerous decisions being made at many levels of management are causing issues that will take a complete reversal of these decisions to resolve or remedy. Bad news is, Dell continues to be as arrogant as in the past when it was rampantly successful and can't plan for success in the future.

There is a tremendous amount of talent in this company that can make almost anything happen, and Dell's success needs to be driven from within (grass roots), not from above.

Advice to Management

Please look to your people for guidance, not your senior management team, but down, down at the IC level. Most of the people at this level have been with the company for many years. They created some of the best products in the industry and can continue to make this company successful if you will let them. You have some of the best engineers in the industry. Let them show you what they are made of; you will like the results.
