Dell leveraged the challenges of the pandemic to create a top-of-the-line virtual working model that enhanced productivity while fostering creative work-life balance for its employees.

Dell has disappointingly failed to follow instead of lead with its return-to-hybrid initiative to force workers back into the office. Instead of leveraging its efficient virtual work model to create an attractive place to work for current and new talent, it has instead opted to fall in line with a practice that makes little sense in the new world. A company where work relationships transcend physical location does not benefit from trying to force a face-to-face culture.
