Not as good as it used to be
Compensation is good, and senior leadership is good.
Engineering here has turned into factory work. Managers are too busy to do more than paperwork. Career growth is limited by the old boy network.
Get engineers excited, give them challenging work, and stop treating them as a cog in the wheel. And please give them some latitude.
Engineering used to be fun, but not here.
