Left Dell Services because major clients were cutting down their business relationship with the company. In a span of just over 3 years, I worked on 4 projects due to either project closure or being affected by a manager's nasty politics/favoritism. Otherwise, I would have continued the stint with the company.

Employees should have some forum or community to reach out to HR and easy access to skip-level meetings.
