Pros

Dell pays very well. Also, unlike some of my previous employers, there is an emphasis on execution. While that may sound ominous, the upside is that you can put some faith in deadlines and promises from other groups at Dell.

Cons

Dell can require long hours. When crunch time arrives, teamwork goes out the window, and it's every man for himself. A lot of work is being moved offshore, so job security isn't very high. Cubicle farms are the norm.

Advice to Management

Don't offshore and outsource work just for the cost savings. Natural synergies within the company are being discarded.
