Pros

Professional organization - HR, finance, etc. - good support as you would expect from a Fortune 500 business.

Good leadership training support / leadership support.

Good engineers/ICs.

Good compensation in most cases.

Diversity support outstanding - as an African American leader, many of us were asked (annually) by senior executives how to make the company a better place for all and given the ability to support initiatives.

Cons

Overly aggressive roadmap. Need more reality in asks and negotiation on working smart to accomplish key objectives. Some management obsessed with ladder climbing, but typical for an org this size. Too many engineering sites, and cross-org politics make significant success challenging.

Advice to Management

Reward reality checks from your Director and Sr. Manager leaders.

Don't overdo your aggressive roadmaps; people really care and want the company to be successful. Appreciate and leverage that more than crazy schedules.

Communicate more about your diversity efforts; they are among the best of any Fortune 500 company.
