Your team supports you. I rarely see internal team conflicts after being here many years. Work/life balance is good enough; not great, but not bad either.
Pay is terrible, easily 10-15% lower than average in the area. The pay raise average is less than 2.5%.
After the storage products merge between Dell, EMC, and Xtremio, the products went downhill due to internal politics. While the engineers from Dell and EMC worked together, the teams and management from Xtremio are impossible to deal with, with no communication or collaboration. We have meetings between many scrum teams, and they barely show up. Most of the promoted higher-ups are from Xtremio, so their teams are well protected, with no consequences for their actions. After the product launch, they took all the credit to themselves and became the main project leaders, while a bunch of Dell and EMC people got reassigned. Ridiculous.
