Pros

Good benefits. Ok salary. A lot of positions have been made fully remote.

Cons

The overall focus on internal statistics in tech support is overwhelming and distracting. It causes techs and engineers to waste time playing the stats instead of getting to do their job or upskill.

Although, anyone who becomes skilled above average in a technical position will probably leave sooner rather than later, as there is too much company politics in the way of progression.

Advice to Management

Reduce the number of middle management people. Most of them aren't manager material anyway and aren't capable of doing anything besides keeping track of stats and hounding anyone who doesn't conform.

A majority of them also have no idea what the techs are actually good or bad at, as they themselves have decided to not learn anything besides a bit of Excel.

Putting in more stats to measure more things is not the answer to fixing anything.
