Thousands fired on a whim, an atmosphere of insecurity, really bad office surroundings and workspace, and capricious management direction!
They always seem to be late to the party on new technology, such as smartphones and tablets. Much technical work is now outsourced to China.
Quite trying to be Apple, you can't do it.
