Pros

People and access to hardware are awesome.

Environment and conditions are great.

Cons

Management is out of touch with the industry. New ideas are never able to come to fruition because they will languish in a "confederacy of dunces" for months. They claim to be a "new startup," but couldn't be farther from the truth. The very idea is a perfect example of the disconnect. They seem happy as clams to ship more and more jobs overseas. Quality is becoming an afterthought.

Advice to Management

Current "business model" is running off the best talent. They seem completely oblivious (ambivalent?) about it. Promote from within instead of constantly hiring from outside. Rising at Dell is more dependent on who you know than what you do. The self-proclaimed "meritocracy" is an absolute joke.
