The Thessaloniki Branch is essentially a Deloitte Italy outsourced department. Effectively, the interview approach is fully Mediterranean (whoever gets more out of this, does so). In other words, do not expect a Central/Northern Europe mentality and questions.

All interview stages with Italy/Greece contacts went well, including with Senior people (although it was a quite slow process, close to a month overall).

In the final interview, however, the person in charge from Italy (and decision maker, as was understood later on) was making vague points and questions. They had a totally opposite approach and almost negative behavior from the beginning of the interview discussion.

NOTE: The interview was for a Senior role with an Experienced Candidate (15 years of work in Central/Northern Europe, not in Greece).

The discussion areas and questions in focus had no substantial specifics, but were rather generic statements and hypothetical wonderings.

Questions from the Candidate on company setup and Plans/Strategy for the Thessaloniki Department were transformed into questions for the Candidate to answer.

Matters of the project/Department being COLLECTIVE WORK and Decisions to be made by many people were turned into things for the Candidate to answer alone.

Eventually, direct negativity against the Candidate was obvious, as if they were NOT actually looking for an Experienced Person to start with.
