Can't be worse. My profile got selected from Naukri and I was called for an interview on a weekend. After I entered the panel, they rechecked my resume and realized that I have no relevant experience (though I have 2 years of experience as an SDE).
I was asked questions in Java like it was a rapid round. The interviewer didn't even consider my answers (he was filling my rejection form right from the beginning).
A minute later, an HR told me that they called me by mistake and that the interview was for experienced candidates.
Next week, I got another call from Deloitte for the same position. I rechecked with the HR, explaining what happened to me before, and he said this time it would be fine. So I attended.
There was a similar talk with the interviewer about me not having relevant experience. The interview went for 20 minutes. I answered every question she asked me.
At the end, she said, "You have a very good logical interpretation, but it is hard for you to be an actual Java developer here without experience. You could try for UI Dev or something else."
I was like, "What the hell." My interview was taken not even in a cabin, unlike every other candidate.
I felt she just found some reason to ignore my candidature. I felt that was so lame because something like this is never expected from such a big company.
