Process

Type of employment: 2 years contract Location: Malaysia

This role requires the candidate to be able to speak Chinese because the client is from China. A voice call with the recruiter tested my Chinese proficiency. Besides that, there was a 75-minute technical assessment via HackerRank, which consisted of 10 objective questions (Linux, Kubernetes, shell script) and 2 coding questions.

  • The first coding question was to write a bash script to process a log file.
  • The second coding question was to solve a HackerRank question.

Before the test, they provided a mock-up test for practice, and it is similar to the real test. You could pass the test if you practiced it.
