I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter via email to set up an initial chat.
About a week later, I had a half-hour conversation with one of their Android engineers. The conversation was extremely enjoyable and mostly covered hobbies (gaming in particular), goals, and company culture.
After that, I moved on to an online technical screen, which was a video chat with screen sharing. My interviewer was the same engineer as before. I was asked to build an Android app from scratch with specifications provided by the engineer. The interviewer was friendly and helpful the entire time. I didn't get to finish the app in the hour given, but the interviewer stayed on the call with me for another 45 minutes, and we discussed what I would have done if I had more time.
A few days later, I was told that I was not moving on. The whole process took about three weeks.
Retrospective: The entire process was extremely enjoyable and personable. I could tell that Discord would be an amazing place to work. It was pretty apparent that cultural fit was a big factor for them.
