Discover is a good place to work if you value a good work-life balance. The work is relatively easy, and the culture is very down-to-earth. They also have a good PTO and 401(k) plan.
Discover attracts the average type employee. If you are a go-getter and want to climb the ladder as fast as possible, this is not the company for you. They pay below market average and make it difficult for internal hires to move up, despite consistently exceeding expectations.
Put more of a focus on promoting top talent and cater your benefits more towards these employees.
