Generous PTO and generally a team-oriented and inclusive atmosphere.
Leadership makes decisions that are not in the best interest of their employees. Pay is below average compared to competitive companies in the area. Mandatory hybrid: 3 days in, absolutely no exceptions, and a lack of flexibility despite claiming they provide it.
Trying to arbitrarily force attrition by forcing people out of the company through a mandatory, non-flexible, hybrid schedule showcases weak leadership that doesn't care at all about its employees. DFS pretends to know what is best long term, but the reality is that they are trying to lay off employees without doing it properly nor respectably. The company has a history of underpaying employees and expecting them to take on amounts of work. This is done via a carrot-on-a-stick approach, promising pseudo career moves through an arbitrarily irrelevant Dreyfus Model that immediate management is often unaware of or not aligned with in direction.
It's informal. The interviewer just pulled out a list of questions and started asking them. It seems the interviewer was just trying to go through all the questions and didn't care about the answers at all.
The interview process was amazing! We were asked to talk over our thought process for our solutions. Then, we had a lot of time to ask questions about the company, which was greatly appreciated.
Recruiter reached out via LinkedIn. Initial conversation with external recruiter, followed up by 2 rounds of interviews with internal employees. * 1 behavioral interview * 1 technical interview Overall, the interview process was positive.
