Pros: A relatively less evil global corporation. Nice to work for the Disney brand. Huge customer base makes accomplishments really satisfying. The park and resort passes are nice, if you're in a position to use them. It's a largely cordial environment. Helpful co-workers, with some exceptions of course. The background level of disorganization allows for lots of private exploration of new technologies and offline professional advancement. Great work-life balance. As a company, Disney will be around forever.

Cons: Going through a phase where management is trying to prove they're smarter than everyone else, and they just aren't. Going through a phase where bullying is being promoted as the core management style, with very poor success. Promotions are largely personality-based, rather than technical-based. Increasing amount of bureaucracy. There's a real tendency for smart people and good managers to outgrow the environment and leave.

Pros: Exposure to cool business segments: * ESPN * ABC * Parks and Resort

Cons: The Seattle office, the platform team for other parts of Disney, is slow in adapting the latest technologies, resulting in developers using outdated frameworks and utilities.

Pros: WDIG had an intelligent and laid-back workforce. It was easy to find peers that knew more than you but did not compete for accolades and attention. Very few managers were clock-watchers and allowed flexible work schedules. Given the above, one must take special care of one's career; else it may remain sedentary, sitting on the shelf, gathering dust.

Cons: When compared to one another, supervisors were uneven. For example, annual reviews from one supervisor may be intense, while another may skip the process entirely. Perhaps related: there seemed to be a revolving door for managers. During my tenure, I had three managers within 9 months. Salaries were not normalized, making for some unusual gaps and questionable promotions.
